On March 21, 2005 we received the following from the Flora Source manufacturer:

EASIER TO READ LABEL

The previous label indicated that FLORA SOURCE has 30 billion cells per GRAM, which means
each 500 mg CAPSULE had 15 billion cells.  Many American still don't know the metric system,
so this was confusing to some.  Now the change in the label to indicate that each capsule has
15 billion cells -- as it always has.  The potency is still the same.

LESS FILLER

"We have reduced the amount of rice starch filler by nearly 50 %, thus reducing the overall
capsule from 500 mg to 260 mg.

SMALLER, EASIER TO SWALLOW CAPSULE

By reducing the amount of filler, we can make a smaller, easier to swallow capsule

A few of customers who have been with us have contacted us to find out "why the
smaller size capsules"?   

We finally (after our "pressure" for the correct answer ---  received what you see above.

I ran out of my "older version" -- opened a New bottle, and surprise --- a smaller capsule was in the New bottle.  Have been taking the new for nearly 5 weeks now -- I do not feel any difference, except that the size of the capsule is "smaller" --- and it is easier to take.
