Insulin:  The Real Culprit

Insulin could be called the master regulator of human metabolism. It is involved in regulating blood sugar, the production of cholesterol and triglycerides, and the storage of fat. Excess fat storage and the accompanying health disorders are merely symptoms of too much insulin. 

Some beta-blockers and diuretics actually cause the body to produce more insulin, which complicates the problem.  When refined carbohydrates are eaten they are converted into simple sugars, or glucose.  

Insulin is then secreted by the pancreas which allows the glucose to be used by the cells for energy.  The more carbs you eat, the more insulin is required.  

Since the body can only store limited amounts of this "carb energy", nutrition researchers agree that any excess will be converted into fat. 

This is simply a function of eating more carbohydrates than the body can absorb.  Remember, insulin is a fat producer!

Control the carbs to control insulin to control fat storage

There are no prescriptions to solve this problem.

On the other hand, "good fat" definitely does NOT include chips, and french fries! 

It's important to make the correct distinction between good dietary fat and bad fat.

  Eliminate chips, pastries, french fries, baked goods and start putting the "good" fat back in your diet.   Eggs, dairy products and animal protein contain nutrients that are essential to building optimum health and give a feeling of satisfaction.

Drink 8 to 10 glasses of pure water a day
