Why do I start from 1992 --- especially since we incorporated in Pennsylvania in
1961 --- as:  MERCHANDISE BUYERS ASSOCIATION --- a/k MBA Company.

Distribution and service was our forte.  But, in mid 1991, I [a healthy man], did
join those who neglect their health and end up "SICK".  The traditional
system, (in six months) did not work for me.  Something else did.

In earlier time, we advanced the prominence of my Interior Design and Services Organization by use of FM radio and use of Mailings to our customer listing. Yes, that company developed because of good customer relationship of good products, and backed everything by courteous service.   Servicing products and giving service to my customers was my business.

You and I know that time evolves and changes bring about the "thing to do" as life progresses.

After a "bout" with failing health in 1991 (which the traditional system did not fix for me), I found the merits of Alternative and Nutritional Health plus "computers".  I was "lucky".  I found a "FIX" for my health situation!

We recognized the value of the Computer and use of the Internet in the last 16 years and have been advancing our company and the products we have selected to represent = by using the INTERNET. With many of our products, it gives us Global Representation and Distribution.

I deal with my customers on a personal basis. I started in the service business in 1952. 

I created Merchandise Buyers Association (MBA company) in 1961 --- as a membership organization. After my personal Health Problems in 1991, and after being saved by a product from the Alternative and Nutritional field, I (MBA) changed to HEALTH IMPROVING for those who are still endeavoring to find help for their situations.

Personal health situations brought about entry into the Alternative / Nutritional Health Field since early 1992.  Plus experience of family members and thousands of customers and by use of "due diligence" to ascertain that the product manufacturer's claims for the product perform = give desired results. Just thought I'd re-check how many years that has been --- I've been saying (now 15 years).  Yes, actually the 15th  year was completed in January of 2007.  Now, I'm in August of 2008 ---

If a product passes our "due diligence" tests, we then create web sites so that anyone who has been unable to find help for their ailments, may have a source to what may help them improve their own health. To enjoy life again.

From 1952 to about 1976, our organization utilized radio (FM) and direct mail. During that period we went through the "renting of space, to buying our facilities, then to building of our major facilities".  

                                               [These are Cost-Heavy operations).  The internet has changed all of that.

Yes, we were successful in what is generally called "a bricks and mortar business". But times change. Doing things that way adds much overhead.  Via the Internet and its abilities, we have eliminated most of that type of overhead expense. 
This enables us to supply products and services --- giving the best with greater savings to the customer.

People now want the best for their needs at the right price, yet with personal and courteous service. It was true in 1952 and even more so now that there is a more diverse population with exposure to greater education and ability to view the present as it leads to the future.

Future MBA success depends mostly by our use of the Internet.  All those other "expenses" (mentioned above) have been eliminated.  Again, we Price our Products Fairly.

Shipping of products: We use: The United States Postal Service --- (PRIORITY MAIL), EXPRESS MAIL, and Global via USPS  for International customers. We can also utilize FEDEX and / or UPS as needed for specific situations,

The past couple of years have proven to us and to our customers that by using the usps PRIORITY MAIL system (and its other services), we can give the best overall service.  We use it approximately 85 % of the time.

For most products, we use a "flat price" ($ 7.00) per order shipment). In recent time, we've added some items that are heavier than 90 % of the others. One example = liquid in 32 ounces per bottle.  No increase in S & H Price for shipping those products. When people purchase more than one bottle of such an item, it costs us more than our standard $ 7.00 per shipment.   Thought about it but did nothing about it -- yet.  Those products are so much in demand,  We just could not add to the S & H for them. 

But, really, since the USPS increased their prices in mid-May of 2007, these costs are becoming a "situation" --- may have to do something .....

About the S&H for the large Liquid Products --- the situation has now gotten SERIOUS ---

This is July 2, 2008.  In processing an order (this morning) for 6 bottles of the 32 ounce liquid  (the charge [as it's been] was
$ 7.00) --- well, since things have changed --- Fedex basically hasn't been even interested in liquid items / UPS --- like others, prices keep increasing -- and USPS  which we depended on for so many years, ---- NOW with their  "price changes" ----
which works like this:   It is the size of the box, the weight for the shipment, and the distance ----- so, sending the 6 bottles in the usual 9"x9"x9" box, cost was more than $ 30.00.

If I used the USPS PRIORITY mail it was going to be near $ 35.00.  By using 2 of what USPS calls FLAT RATE boxes
(why 2?  Because only 3 bottles fit into the FLAT RATE box and each cost us $ 9.80 just for the shipment. 
So, 9.80 X 2 = $ 19.80.  Repeating = that is only for shipping from our post office to destination / delivery address.

I will have the ISP / PROGRAMMER who does the ONLINE ORDER SITE for us and there will be a higher amount for such heavy items / shipments.  Since this has now gotten out of consideration, I either stop presenting such great items, or do
not offer them at all.  Don't want to do that --- but

Those who are in the industry (vitamins, etc) know that most products are "small" --- they do not weigh much.  We generally use "boxes" that are 4x4, 5x5, 6x6, 7x7; 8x8; 9x9; possibly at times up to a 12x12 size. Our experience with a particular product has also required us to use a 20 x 20 x 4 inch size.  So, we are flexible in most things --- meeting the challenges of rendering fine, proven performance products at competitive prices.  

Over 60 % of shipments go into boxes that are 9x9 or smaller.  That is why I mention the first item (a very good one) whose content is 32 ounces.  Now consider its bottle, and then the packaging material and the outer box ... weight becomes a consideration.  So does shipping cost. Just this past week, we received an order that included 5 of the 32 ounce products.  It was ONLINE and therefore the "per shipment" of $ 7.00 was charged to the buyers Credit card.

 What did it cost us to ship it Priority Mail ? Over $ 20.00.  The S & H cost to us eventually depends on "weight and where the destination" is.  Remember please that we still only charge $ 7.00 per order (regardless of quantity).  This may vary for Wholesaler Orders.   Check the website and the "to order" information.

The $ 7.00 S&H will apply ONLY TO THE 48 CONTINENTAL STATES.  Hawaii and Alaska --- orders, should contact us

So, longevity and continuance are under control.   They are capable to handle all aspects.  Processing orders, packaging, shipments, paper work, etc.   "If Mike is not here, MBA continues = whether it is for 1 day or If Mike is "gone".  

And that means that MBA will then be a "Woman owned Business".  That's Good!
